Rehabilitation
Exercises
Rehabilitative exercises are a foundation of the physiotherapy profession, but have been adopted by many Chiropractors. Rehabilitation exercises are specifically designed to target damaged tissue, often tendons, or muscle groups that are not functioning well. Depending on the injury, rehabilitative exercises are an effective strategy for an improved outcome.
It is very common for some individuals, and especially some athletes, to have a reoccurring injury take place, such as Tennis Elbow. In these cases it is essential to determine the cause of the injury, and assess other areas that may be contributing to the injury. A good example of this, is when the muscle of the elbow tighten, these often affect the function of the shoulder. If this is determined then a combination of rehabilitation exercises alongside other Chiropractic techniques may be of greatest benefit.
At Marshall Chiropractic, rehabilitation exercises are employed for conditions such as Tennis Elbow, Plantarfascitis, and Rotator Cuff injuries.
